Upon graduation from high school Garcia was admitted into Texas Christain University studied there for a short time before moving to the University of Texas. It was there that she gave her exposure to a aggressive environment and made her skills stronger as the times passed. Angela Akin Garcia was a fantastic golfer but had no idea of pursuing a career in golf. She chose to pursue journalism instead. After graduating, she was hired as a Fox Sports Southwest reporter.
